Presented as part of the Brown University Health Conference Series, the 2027 Bradley Hospital National Conference for Child & Adolescent Mental Health will bring together clinicians, researchers, educators, trainees, advocates, policymakers, and community partners to advance behavioral health care for children, adolescents, young adults, and families.
We invite poster submissions from psychiatry, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing, behavior analysis, occupational and recreational therapies, education, primary care, public health, community-based services, and related fields. Submissions may feature original research, quality improvement, evidence-based practice, clinical innovation, program evaluation, workforce development, policy and advocacy, or collaborative models of care.

How Posters Are Selected
Review Criteria
The evaluation process will consider the following criteria:
Relevance to Conference Theme: The abstract aligns with the mission of advancing child and adolescent mental health and is relevant to the interdisciplinary conference audience.
Significance and Impact: The work has the potential to improve clinical practice, education, research, policy, advocacy, or outcomes for children, adolescents, young adults, and families.
Innovation and Originality: The submission presents a novel, creative, or unique approach, perspective, intervention, or finding.
Scientific or Methodological Rigor: The project, program, research study, or initiative demonstrates an appropriate and well-described methodology or implementation approach.
Quality and Clarity of Abstract: The abstract is well organized, clearly written, and effectively communicates the purpose, methods, outcomes, and implications.
Outcomes and Results: The submission includes meaningful findings, measurable outcomes, lessons learned, or evidence of effectiveness.
Applicability and Transferability: The work has relevance beyond the presenting organization and offers ideas, practices, or findings that could be adopted or adapted by others.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: The submission demonstrates collaboration across disciplines, settings, systems, organizations, patients, families, or communities.
Contribution to the Field: The submission advances knowledge, practice, policy, advocacy, workforce development, or systems of care in child and adolescent mental health.
Freedom from Commercial Bias: The submission is educational, objective, and free from direct product or service promotion.
Presenter Expectations
If accepted, all listed poster presenters must:
- Confirm participation by the deadline provided in the acceptance notice.
- Submit the final electronic poster by Monday, July 12, 2027.
- Register for the conference and pay the applicable registration fee.
- Authorize the poster for display during the conference.
- Be available during the designated poster session on August 12–13, 2027, to discuss the work with attendees.
Commercial Promotion and Conflict of Interest
Poster presentations must support scholarly exchange and the dissemination of objective, evidence-informed practices. Content should emphasize educational value, outcomes, lessons learned, implementation strategies, and practical application.
Abstracts and posters may describe products, technologies, programs, services, or interventions when relevant to the work; however, they must not include sales pitches, solicitation, promotional claims, product endorsements, or content intended primarily for financial gain.
Presenter Logistics
Registration and travel: Presenters are responsible for conference registration fees, travel arrangements, and related expenses. All listed presenters must register and complete a Poster Presenter Agreement to confirm participation.
Scheduling: Presenters must be available for the designated poster session during the educational program on August 12–13, 2027.
Handouts: With presenter permission, PDF handouts may be posted on the conference website and mobile app for registered attendees.
Notification of Decision
The primary contact for each submission will receive an email notification of the committee’s decision by Friday, May 28, 2027.
Accepted presenters must complete the Poster Presenter Agreement and confirm participation by Friday, June 11, 2027. Failure to meet the stated requirements and deadlines may result in withdrawal of acceptance.
All correspondence will be sent to the email address provided in the application. Applicants should use an address they monitor regularly and that can receive messages from the Conference Planning Team.
